Our vision is to establish AAIC as a multi-ethnic and vibrant Islamic center that caters to the religious, educational, and social needs of the Muslim communities of Central Ohio.
Many Muslims, mostly new immigrants, live on the southwest side of Columbus. Back in August 2004 we rent-ed a 6,000 square foot store-front and established Masjid Abubakar Asiddiq. Now more than 600 people pray each Friday and almost 250 children attend the after school and weekend Quranic classes. Three years after opening, in August 2007, Allah (SWT) blessed us with the purchase of approximately 10 acres of land for about $300,000, which we have completely paid for. On this land we are building a permanent home for our masjid, designed with a 15,000 square foot Masjid on the first floor and an Islamic School on the 15,000 square foot second floor. Today, nearly three millions dollars have been spent to achieve this milestone.
